Two Toned Embossing and Layout Share...

Hi!  Happy Friday Sweeties!  Lisa here today to share a layout as well as an embossing technique that has beautiful results.

I started this layout by distressing my background patterned paper with scissors and a distressing tool. Next I added the trimmed hounds tooth.  I gave my vellum the royal embossing treatment by stamping various leaf images from the newly released Leaves Stamp Set.  After a few more layers of cardstock I worked on my Piccolo Word Accents.  To create a two toned look I simply dabbed the entire sentiment with Enamel and Embossing Powder Adhesive Fluid and covered the top half with Medieval Metals and the bottom half with Fall Fiesta Fine Detail Embossing Powders, then heat set before adding them to my layout.  I LOVE this look, and can't wait to play around more with it.  I have also created my own little embellishment by stamping one of the owl images from the Fall Owls Stamp Set, and then coloring and fussy cutting it out.

It's fun to incorporate stamping into layouts and I hope I've inspired you to try it too!
